Meet the Team
Reconstruction is a long road, and you will see far more of the team than you do of any one operation. These are the people who look after you along the way.
Dr. Haddock’s practice is built around a small, consistent team — the same faces in clinic, on the phone, and through recovery. Most of the questions that come up between visits are answered by the people on this page.

Avery Wilson, BSN, RN
Nurse
Avery Wilson, BSN, RN, is a dedicated and compassionate nurse with experience in complex and specialty surgery as well as pulmonary and thoracic care. She now serves patients as a member of the Plastic Surgery nursing team at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Outside of work, Avery enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Bug.

Christina Benavides, RN
Nurse
Christina Benavides, RN, has been a nurse for almost five years and would not have it any other way. Her nursing journey began as a step-down ICU cardiothoracic nurse, where she spent several years caring for complex patients, before she shifted gears to pursue a career in plastic surgery.
Plastic surgery has helped her fulfill her purpose as a nurse and reminded her why she chose healthcare in the first place: to make a meaningful difference in her patients’ lives. She hopes this site gives patients the education, resources and tools they need throughout their breast reconstruction journey, and considers it an honor to be part of their care.
Outside of work, Christina enjoys traveling to new places with her husband and their two dogs. They love hiking, exploring, and enjoying a good swim together as a family.

Jennifer Bell, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner · Hospital
Jennifer Bell, MSN, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She earned her BSN in 2014 and spent several years working across a variety of critical care specialties (medical ICU, surgical ICU and burn ICU) before earning her MSN with a concentration in acute care in 2019. She went on to join the Plastic Surgery department at UT Southwestern in 2020.
Outside of work, she enjoys doing Pilates, trying new restaurants, traveling — particularly to destinations with great hiking — and spending time with her family and beloved pugs.

Kristi Elliott, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
Kristi Elliott, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing in women’s health and a post-master’s family nurse practitioner program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Kristi began her career in women’s health and transitioned to plastic surgery in 2007. She has worked in private and academic plastic surgery practices since then, and has been at UT Southwestern since 2021.
