Tissue expanders are often placed at the time of a mastectomy. This allows Dr. Haddock and you some control over the ultimate breast size. Dr. Haddock will try to fill the device at the time of the initial operation but often patients require additional expansions in the office. Dr. Haddock and our nursing team will guide you through this process.
